OptSuite can perfom phaseshifting interferometry in two modes. Twyman-Green-mode and Mach-Zehnder-mode. The appropriate interferometer has to be build up and the reference mirror should be placed upon a piezo transducer.
Phase shifting is done via the USB-Port. A pluged in measurement-tool is capable of controlling the piezo transducer (P-239.00, Physik Instrumente). It is utilizing an I/O controller (IO-warrior 40, Code Mercenaries) and D/A converter (MX7248, Maxim) to transform the USB output signal to the desired input signal of a high-voltage amplifier connected to the piezo transducer.
Intensity acquisition can be done by an other measurement-tool. One implementation of the intensity-detector interface is based upon a digital camera library so any IEEE1394 compliant digital camera can be used. We used two CCD camers by now: DFW-V500, Sony and ???, PixeLink.
The acquisition logic is within the acquisition-algorithm and data-unwrapper measurement-tools. These utilize the other ones to perfom multiple measurements as well as compute and unwrap the measured wavefront.
